Charlie Dent was born in Allentown on May 24, 1960, to Pete and Marjorie Dent. Charlie, and his sister, Lisa, and his brother, Peter, all attended Allentown’s public schools. Charlie graduated from William Allen High School and went on to receive his undergraduate degree from Penn State University and has received a Masters in Public Administration from Lehigh University.

Today, Charlie and his wife, Pam, are raising three children of their own; Kathryn, William, and Jack—while continuing to reside in the City of in Allentown. The Dent’s have been part of the Lehigh Valley community for many generations.

The people in our neighborhoods have always been able to count on Charlie Dent, first in the State Legislature and now in Congress, and he has always delivered. Charlie is one of us, he represents our values, and he has been an effective and tireless worker. Charlie works every day to cut red tape for constituents and to fix problems and deliver for our communities.

For Charlie, helping people in our community comes before politics.  He’s always been an elected official who takes the time to listen and he realizes that it is an honor and a privilege to serve and represent you.
