As our Congressman, Charlie Dent has voted repeatedly to protect Social Security and Medicare. Charlie supported keeping the enrollment period open longer for seniors to enter the Medicare Prescription Drug Program. In fact, as our Representative he held over a dozen information meetings about the Medicare Prescription Drug Program that were attended by hundreds of seniors throughout the 15th District. Likewise, he has protected funding for in-home health services and durable medical equipment, such as oxygen tanks and wheel chairs.

Charlie has voted consistently to increase funding for the Low-Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program called LIHEAP. This program has helped many seniors to heat and weatherize their homes. Charlie has been one of the House of Representatives strongest leaders on making sure that seniors receive the benefits from this important program.

And, Representative Dent made certain that all seniors would be eligible to receive the benefits of the economic stimulus rebate that will give them between $300 to $600 for an individual and $600 to $1200 for married couples to help meet their financial needs.
