John Callahan continues to labor under the false belief that governments and politicians create jobs. That's not the case. In fact, it's that kind of mistake that led the Administration and Speaker Pelosi to waste $862 billion of taxpayer money on the failed economic Stimulus law.
Of course, Mayor Callahan was on that bandwagon, too. He even lobbied for the Stimulus bill to be passed.
There are two key actions that government can take to spur economic growth - stay out of the way of job creators, like small businesspeople and stop the tax burden on these folks from rising. Those are key parts of my sensible plan.
I hope you'll watch the TV commercial we just released and compare and contrast my plan with Mayor Callahan's "simple plan."
